"The idea for Music for Earth Orbit came to me as I was watching space videos - which included footage of the Earth as seen from space.

The beauty and grandeur of our home planet is most often only shown in short snippets, and with music which doesn't quite seem to do the imagery justice. I kept thinking, 'Why can't I find some Earth footage from space, where I can just watch without interruption, and with good music!'

Then I started to think about the question; 'What kind of music would I like to listen to, if I were in space'?

I began imagining music that I would like to listen to as if I felt myself floating weightless in space, looking down at the beauty of the Earth passing below.

I have watched countless hours of space footage, and imagined many times what it would be like to be floating in space and looking at the Earth.

I imagined the feelings I would have, the emotions I would feel, and the kind of music I would like to hear.

From this imagery and feeling of respect and awe for the Earth came this recording, 'Music for Earth Orbit'.
